What it Means to be “Stubborn on Vision”

What it Means to be “Stubborn on Vision”

And flexible in the details of strategy and execution

This month, I've been focusing on Vision in my posts.

Love him or hate him, Jeff Bezos is a . Not only does he “have vision,” but he has continually set the bar high for how an organization and its people think about vision vs. strategy and execution.

Vision is a long game. Your product or company vision should not change every quarter — or even every year.

Spend the time to get your vision right and get everyone from the to every individual contributor — no matter their role — on the same journey toward that vision.

Everyone and anyone at a company should know what they're working towards so they can on HOW to get there. The details of HOW they get there is where there there is flexibility for creativity and leadership.

How they measure success along the way is where there's opportunity.

How they experiment, how teams organize, and how they work together to solve problems.

Make sure that Vision is crystal clear before trying to solve problems.
